A Massive condom recall has been issued by one of the World’s largest condom manufacturers.
Durex is recalling batches of ‘Real Feel’ condoms over the burst pressure concerns.
The condom company says the company found that specific batches of Durex Real Feel Extra Lubricated 10ct condoms and Durex Real Feel 20ct condoms are not passing shelf-life durability tests.
“There is no immediate safety concern for consumers and only specific batches are affected,” the company said in a statement. “We are working closely with the Health Canada and have decided to recall affected batches.”
Observations showed variable burst pressure performance of Polyisoprene Condoms during 2017. An Internal Investigation identified that a batch of condoms distributed is not expected to meet the registered burst pressure specific at the end of shelf life.
Items recalled are: Durex Real Feel® Extra Lubricated 10ct condoms (UPC 0 67981 98715 7) & Durex Real Feel® 20ct condoms (UPC 0 67981 97177 4) with the following batch number:
