On February 8th, 2017, Michael Knowles of the Daily Wire released his first published book “Reason’s to Vote Democrat.”
The book almost instantly saw its rise to fame, landing itself on the Amazon’s best sellers list for a number of weeks. It was described as the “most exhaustively researched and coherently argued Democrat Party apologia to date” and “a political treatise sure to stand the test of time.” The cover of the book features a bold and direct quote from the editor and chief of the Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro, stating “thorough”. What’s ironic about this situation is the book contains 266 pages, but not a single word. The book is completely empty. Trolling at its finest.
Knowles latter appeared on Fox News to discuss the book and his recent and rapid rise to fame. “It took a very long time to research this book,” he said.
“I’ve been observing the Democratic Party for at least 10 years now and when I observed their record and reasons to vote for them — on reasons of economics or foreign policy or homeland security or civil rights and so on — I realized it was probably best to just leave all the pages blank.”
He then joked saying the best part of the book is that it only takes about 15 to 20 seconds to read. This iconic representation of trollery helped Knowles accrue hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue as well as a five star rating.
In response to the mockery, of course the dems had a hissy fit. “Waste of my valuable time even looking at it. Can’t believe someone is making money off of this. Shame”; “More stupidity from the right wing. Surprised Amazon sells this garbage. America has certainly dumbed down.”; “This book posits to be about Democrats, yet upon reading it’s an in-depth assessment of the Republican’s strategy to help America’s working poor.” Just goes to show you how Democrats can’t take a joke, surprised they didn’t cry racist this time.
In addition to the handful of bitter reviews there was a book made in response to Michael Knowles’ elegant novel titled “Reasons to Vote for Republicans”. Unfortunately the book was a flop, receiving a one star rating and landing itself nowhere near the Amazon best sellers list. Just goes to show you the originality and sensitivity of the modern American left.
