President Trump Fires Shots Back at Soon to be Senator Mitt Romney

President Donald Trump fired back at Senator-elect Mitt Romney on Wednesday with a brutal six word response that quickly got everyone’s attention.

Over the weekend, Romney published an opinion editorial in The Washington Post that criticized the president’s character.

On Wednesday morning, Trump took to Twitter to argue that Republicans must come together to address the nation’s issues as a “team” instead of bickering over style differences.

“Here we go with Mitt Romney, but so fast! Question will be, is he a Flake? I hope not. Would much prefer that Mitt focus on Border Security and so many other things where he can be helpful. I won big, and he didn’t. He should be happy for all Republicans. Be a TEAM player & WIN!” Trump wrote.

The president went on to further savage Romney by questioning whether he will end up like former Sen. Jeff Flake, R-AZ, who spent most of last year attacking Trump and trying to sabotage his agenda in Congress.

“Question will be, is he a Flake?” Trump asked. “I hope not. Would much prefer that Mitt focus on Border Security and so many other things where he can be helpful.”

Trump also noted in the tweet that he won the 2016 presidential election and reminded Romney that he lost badly in 2012 to former President Barack Obama.

Romney, who was elected last year in Utah to replace outgoing GOP Sen. Orrin Hatch, stunned many by publishing the opinion editorial out of nowhere.
