You know him of course as the conservative pillow king of America. Mike Lindell Founder of My Pillow is a very outgoing, charismatic, and influential businessman.
However did you know he’s also a staunch conservative?
When liberals with Media Matters for America worked a campaign to try to cost Fox News host Laura Ingraham of The Ingraham Angle her sponsors and her job, Lindell refused to pull his ads. He stood tall, and stayed with the program he wanted to be on.
Now the Minnesota businessman and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is trying his hand at Hollywood after investing $1 million in a new movie that offers a critical look at Planned Parenthood.
The movie, titled Unplanned, had to be filmed in secret due to the sensitive nature of its subject, The Hollywood Reporter reveals, but that hasn’t stopped Lindell from speaking out about his role in the film.
“I don’t get into things for the money; I get into them if the message is right,” Lindell told The Hollywood Reporter, which notes that Lindell previously backed a Christian movie called Church People.
Lindell’s investment in Unplanned amounts to one-sixth of the film’s whole production budget, and was made by the creators of such films as God’s Not Dead and I Can Only Imagine, which both grossed more than $60 million at the box office.
The film is based on a book of the same title, and tells the true story of Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director and spokesperson who went on to become one of the nation’s most outspoken critics of abortion.
“I’m pro-life and I’m happy to do it,” said Lindell, who makes a cameo in the movie set to be released in the spring of 2019.
Lindell says he plans to continue helping fund movies with a purpose.
He’s also a huge President Donald Trump Supporter. “When I met him, I go: ‘Wow, there’s nobody on this planet I’d rather have be my president than Donald Trump,’” Lindell previously told The Minnesota Sun.
Lindell is one of the most amazing success stories in American history. Once a drug addict, he turned himself around with his faith, and now is one of the most successful and powerful businessmen in America. Lindell says he always puts his “Christian values first.”
