A Conservative Veteran has started a Go Fund Me to Fund the Wall for President Trump.
Amid Democratic Congressional members pushing back against the President, a triple amputee veteran Brian Kolfage has started a Go Fund Me to fund the border wall.
Brian is a verified blue check mark on Facebook as a public figure, and a Purple Heart Recipient.
Brian also notes on his Go Fund Me Page to not make donations in Celebrity or Politician names as they will be refunded according to Go Fund Me.
It’s a noble and patriotic effort by concerned Americans everywhere that want to see our southern border guarded and defended. Illegals are coming across America’s southern border to the tune of 500,000 per year illegally.
Per the Go Fund Me: “Republican Representative Steven Palazzo of Mississippi is introducing legislation to direct the Treasury Department to issue government savings bonds which would allow us to fund the wall with this method. This is just one option, there are others on the table being discussed.”
You can read the statement from the Congressman’s website HERE
There is however unfortunately one problem. The government cannot accept the money in this form. They would have to create wall bonds, much like our Grandfathers generation used to have war bonds.
Here’s where the problem lies, the Democrats control the House of Representatives, and Conservatives do not have the 60 votes in the senate to get this passed. So how do you get it passed? You don’t unfortunately.
It’s an amazing effort by conservatives and concerned citizens, and even though the money cannot be used for the wall without wall bonds being passed, perhaps it’s enough of a movement to wake up those in Washington, D.C. perhaps..
Editors Note: At the publishing of this article, the Go Fund Me was near $7 Million dollars raised already.
