Washington, District of Columbia – June, 14 2018 – On June 6th, 2016, the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University filed a lawsuit suing President Donald John Trump for blocking individuals on Twitter saying that he was violating their First Amendment rights because they could not reply to the President of the United States on his personal account.
We at the DC Chronicle believe that there is a double standard. Liberals such as Rosie O’Donnell, Kathy Griffin, Eugene Gu (one of the plaintiffs in the case), Greg Dworkin, Shannon Watts, Jake Tapper, Linda Sarsour, David Weissman, John Cusack, Michael Avenatti, Kathleen Wynne, Joe Carnahan, Cecile Richards, Tara Strong, and many others have blocked people on their twitter accounts. But the biggest account of all come from the Obama Administration and we have filed a request with the National Archives and Records Administration for the block list of all the Obama Administration Twitter accounts.
We are prepared to fight for this information even if that means a lawsuit. Liberals are holding a double standard, some of them receive taxpayer funding such as Cecile Richards who is President of Planned Parenthood. If funding is going through the government everyone deserves to have the same rights to information.
Today the DC Chronicle submitted a letter to the National Archives and Records Administration requesting information on Obama-era Administration Twitter accounts that had blocked people.
