This morning, the United Kingdom went into an emergency lockdown after a suspect breached the gate at the Palace of Westminster. It was reported by Independent Journal Review that the man entered at the Brass Gates. These gates are usually not open to the public. The suspect assaulted an officer with what appeared to be a knife.
Multiple reports on the ground heard gun fire. The perpetrator was shot by military police officers. David Lidington, Leader of the House of Commons, confirmed that a police officer had been stabbed.
“What I am able to say to the House is that there has been a serious incident within the estate. It seems that a police officer has been stabbed; that the alleged assailant was shot by armed police.”

President Donald Trump has been briefed on the situation and was monitoring in London. Press Secretary Sean Spicer confirmed that Trump had spoken with British Prime Minister May about the attacks.

During the attack, Theresa May, Prime Minister, was in the lobby. She was secured in order to protect the continuity of the United Kingdom government. It has been confirmed that she is safe and did not suffer any harm.
The New York Daily News reported the suspect trampled down five people on the Westminster Bridge that approaches the path to the building.
At 2:30 EST during a press conference, a Scotland Yard Commander confirmed to reporters that four people were killed and that 20 people had been injured at the scene. One of those killed was the London Military Police Officer who was stabbed by the assailant. Three military police officers were injured.
